Lunchtime is at one of the camps or picnic spots inside Kruger National Park where a variety of foods are available. You will have the opportunity to sit down and have a meal or have a take away. This lunch is at your cost.
A crackling campfire and flickering lanterns set the mood for dinner under the African skies, while the sounds of nocturnal animals calling in the distance can often be heard. In true safari style we all eat together in the boma.
Traditional South African food is generally cooked over an open fire or in a three-legged pot (or potjie), so meat tends to be served in either stewed or grilled form. We have a selection of the traditional meals which include a starch along with plenty of vegetables and side salads. You can purchase ice-cold beverages or a bottle of fine South African wine to complement your evening meal.
